Marcy Perlman Tardio, CNM, had her first call to midwifery through her mother's empowering birth stories. The 'calling'solidified when she experienced the awe of birth as a baby girl was born, feet-first, into her father's hands.
Marcy has been a midwife since 1988. She has worked in many settings: hospital, birth center (The Maternity Center and Elizabeth Seton), and in women's homes. Her midwifery practice is based in Park Slope, Brooklyn, and she offers homebirth services to women throughout the New York area who seek an empowering and family-centered birth, including waterbirth.
